At the core of my therapeutic approach is a simple, but powerful belief: Everyone deserves compassion, support, and the opportunity to thrive. Life is an intricate tapestry of experiences, both challenging and joyful. Sometimes, those challenges can feel insurmountable, but no one should navigate these difficulties alone. As a Psychotherapist based in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada and British Columbia, I’m dedicated to helping individuals foster a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotions, enabling them to experience life’s journey with greater happiness and resilience.
I specialize in helping clients navigate a large variety of challenges, including (but not limited to):

In our counselling space, you’ll find a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you can express your emotions openly and honestly. This trusting environment can serve as a transformative platform for self-discovery, facilitating the processing of personal experiences and fostering emotional growth and resilience.
With my approachable demeanour and a mix of empathy, kindness, and, when appropriate, humour, I strive to make every client feel heard, validated, and understood. The therapeutic process is, after all, a human connection at its core. Your feelings, experiences, and insights matter—and they will be received with attentive care and understanding.
Our initial session is much more than a procedural requirement—it’s the beginning of our therapeutic alliance. We will take time to understand your unique challenges, clarify your goals, and together, we’ll formulate a treatment plan that aligns with your aspirations for growth and well-being.
As a BA, MA Registered Psychotherapist, I am equipped with the expertise and experience to guide you on this path, but remember, our journey is a collaborative one. Your active participation, courage, and willingness to explore will be the driving force behind your transformation.

Growing up in Thunder Bay, and later moving to Ottawa, I’ve faced significant challenges in my life, including losing both of my parents to early deaths and dealing with my own mental health struggles.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
Since a young age, I’ve had a strong desire to help others as they navigate their lives, which is why I wanted to be a Teacher. Initially an English language teacher, I realized my true calling as many students would confide in me their problems and dreams.
I have eleven years experience as an inpatient Social worker working with youth aged 12 to 18 and their families as they struggled with depression, anxiety, psychosis, and addiction. I have experience with grief, crisis, addiction, life challenges, mental health issues and relationship challenges.
My services are available in French and Spanish (my two other languages).
I believe that my life’s journey, education, and work experience can help deliver an authentic and supportive presence to those I work with.

Each of us occasionally needs help identifying solutions to life’s struggles. Other times, despite knowing solutions, we cannot take action. Regardless of current situations, emotional struggles, or past experiences, therapy helps us on a path of discovery to identify challenges and co-create solutions. I believe counselling allows us to work together, creating a life with increased happiness, emotional stability and fulfilling relationships.
